My property became certified by The National Wildlife Federation several years ago. Our township also became certified thanks to a community that really cares about our wildlife. Here is one of the township signs. My wife and I have really enjoyed picking out the native plants we have planted all over our property. We have an abundance of wildlife now that we have taken the steps to provide them shelter, food, and water. Wildlife habitat is dwindling rapidly so every little bit we create can make a huge difference for our wild critters. I challenge all of my blog followers to create your own backyard wildlife habitat and then become certified. I am proud of our certified sign along the road and you will be too! Good luck!
